David “DJ” James Joslin passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at the age of 38. He was born in Holland, MI on April 1, 1983 to his father, Richard Joslin and his mother, Jean (Barz) Joslin. DJ attended Schoolcraft schools, but graduated in 2001 from Kalamazoo Central High School.
He went on to become a talented tattoo artist opening and running his own tattoo shop in Schoolcraft, Grand Street Tattoos. DJ was an amazing artist and exuded positivity everywhere he was. He loved mopeds and skateboarding, and was an active member of the DCONS Moped Club. He also enjoyed cooking, grilling, hosting and entertaining, even hosting the near famous Grilled Cheese Cook Off in Kalamazoo. DJ was a kind and gentle soul who touched the hearts of so many.
Survivors include his children, Braden Nikolas Lewinski and Alice Jean Joslin; his mother, Jean Joslin; his father, Richard Joslin; his sisters, Rachel (Justin) Moeller and Sarah (Nicole Geiger) Joslin; nephews, Keegan Moeller, Morgan Moeller, and Josiah Joslin, and his chosen brother, Dan Yax. He also leaves behind a host of extended family and very dear friends too numerous to mention. DJ was preceded in death by his infant son, Cadby James Joslin.
