He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Joyce Hallmark Cowart; daughters, Stephanie (Jimmy) Franklin; Jenifer (Lynn) Skelton; step-daughters, Dawn (Eddie) Goolsby, Joy (Dwight) Rich; step-son, Brent (Michelle) Hickman; son-in-law, Mark Waltz; 9 grandchildren; 2 great-grandsons; brother, Stephen (Suzanne) Cowart; nephew, Michael Cowart. Mr. Cowart was born on November 17, 1940 in Atlanta, GA.
He was a 1958 graduate of Brown High School, Atlanta, GA. Mr. Cowart was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was retired from Landstar Trucking. He attended Georgia Tech in Atlanta. He was a member of Sugarloaf United Methodist Church, Duluth, GA. Mr. Cowart enjoyed reading, singing in a choral group and traveling.
