David Cleveland Ramsey, 81, of Stanley passed away on April 8, 2019 at the Stanley Total Living Center in Stanley, NC. David was born on June 24, 1937 to the late Walter Cleveland and Irene Baker Ramsey in Lincoln County. He was a machinist and mechanic. He was a devoted member and leader of the Belmont Moose Lodge.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara Elisabeth Childers Ramsey.
David is survived by one son: Lee David Ramsey, of Drexel, five grandchildren; Amber Blackwood of Stanley, Joshua Rathbone of Mocksville, Christopher Ramsey of Charlotte, Victoria Kiziah of Valdese, Stephanie Ayala of Fayetteville, two great-grandchildren; Hayden Blackwood of Stanley and Elon Kiziah of Valdese, and two “adopted daughters”; Kelly Reed and Shelly Cheshire.
