David Clark O’Neall, 76, Crawfordsville, died at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis on Friday, June 20 at 3:45 PM.
He was the retired owner of Balhinch Woodshed Antiques for 35 years, specializing in antique textiles and country furniture and smalls. He had previously been employed by Crawford Industries and Plasteen.
He was born June 25, 1931 in Louisville, Kentucky to Dorothy Jane Clark O’Neall and Edgar Howard O’Neall. His father died when he was a young boy and he was raised by his stepfather, Byron K. Trippet.
His memberships included Wabash Avenue Presbyterian Church where he was a church elder and san in the choir for many years. He served on the Board of Directors for Durham Home, inc. for over 40 years. After graduation from Crawfordsville High School he attended Haverford College. He graduated from Indiana University.
He married Shirley A. Cunningham in 1972. Survivors include his wife and daughters, Lucy (Adam) Moody, Browns Valley; Judy Cunningham, Marietta, GA; Cheryl (Chet Parsons) Cunningham, Ladoga; Pam (Ron) Johnson, Dunedin, FL. Daughter, Heather Lovold, Crawfordsville, also survives. Grandchildren include Rachel (Chad) Hassler; Isaac (Karyn) Moody, Browns Valley; Jill (Dustin) Daughtery, Jonathon VanMatre , Atlanta, GA; Kaelan Cunningham-Barowsky, Bloomington, IN; Benjamin Harris, Scottsdale, AZ; Stacy (Kevin) Brier-O’Brien, Bakersfield, CA and Joy (Brandon) Dell’Aringa, Belleville, IL. Also surviving are 4 great grandchildren.
