David Charles Burgess, 60, of Belton passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at Baylor-Scott & White Hospital in Temple.
David was born in 1958 in Massachusetts to Evan and Jean Burgess. He grew up in Burlingame, California where he graduated from Burlingame High School. Mr. Burgess attended college in California before enlisting in the US Air Force. After he was discharged he began a career as an engineer with L3 Communications and worked there for over 30 years. He moved to the Central Texas area in 2004 and worked at Ft. Hood for L3 before he passed away. Mr. Burgess married Linda Brown on March 19, 1993 in Redwood City, California.
Mr Burgess was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Larry Burgess.
Survivors include his wife Linda of Belton, mother Jean Burgess of Belton, daughters Brooke Thomas and her husband Matt of El Paso, Katherine Burgess of Belton, and Rachel Burgess of Belton, brother Robert Burgess and his wife Penni of Alamo, Ca., sister Deborah Uneberg and her husband Eric of Summerfield, Fl., and two grandchildren Riley Thomas and Wyatt Thomas both of El Paso.
