David C. Toomey Jr. 85, of Bolton, beloved husband of Mabel (Winter) Toomey and the late Margaret (Higgins) Toomey, died peacefully, Monday March 28, 2016 at his childhood home in Bolton with his family at his side after a long battle with Cancer. Dave was born February 28, 1931 in Manchester, son of the late David C. Toomey Sr. and Olive (Hutchinson) Toomey, he attended local schools in Bolton, was a 1949 Graduate of Manchester High School and was a lifelong resident of Bolton. He enlisted in the United States Air Force and proudly served his country during the Korean conflict from 1950 to 1954 in the USAF Military Police. He became a Trooper with the Connecticut State Police serving 22 years. Dave was a loyal and dedicated member of the Manchester Lodge # 73 A.F. & A.M., he served as Worshipful Master in 1987. He served as High Priest of the Pythagoras Chapter # 17 Royal Arch Masons in East Hartford and was also affiliated with the Delta Chapter # 51 Royal Arch Masons in Manchester.
