David Carl DeBerry, 67, of Salem passed away, Sunday, April 22, 2012 at Salem Care and Rehab Center. He was born in Granville, WV on October 18, 1944, son of the late Junior DeBerry and Virginia Metheny DeBerry Tanner. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Lee Ballard DeBerry; four sons, James Bradbury and wife Catherine, Geneva, OH, David Carl Bradbury, Ashtabula, OH, Eric Allen DeBerry, Clarksburg, Shawn DeBerry, Salem; three granddaughters, Shayla, Jamie and Carlie, and one great grandson; ten siblings, Thomas DeBerry and Betty, Elyria, OH, Robert DeBerry and Wilma, Valley Point, WV, Ethel Thomas and Marvin Sr.; Kingwood, WV, Pat Taylor and Jack, Kingwood, WV, Terry DeBerry and Luella, Dola, WV, David Gene DeWitt, Morgantown, WV, Carolyn Sue Exline and Michael, Lumberport, WV, Dianne Stonebraker and Charles “Tink”, Kingwood, WV, Michael DeBerry and Patty, Martinsburg, WV, Ronald DeBerry and Terri, MS; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James DeBerry formerly of Texas; step-mother, Mary Sisler Dewitt DeBerry; step-father, James “Bud” Tanner. He retired from Bethlehem Coal in Buckhannon and was an avid deer hunter. He loved working on cars from mechanic to auto body work.
