He migrated to the United States in 1968 at a young age with his sisters. His sisters often tried to protect him but turns out he was the one protecting them. In 1987 he met Christine Barnett and officially became husband and wife on September 10, 1988. Soon after they had a son Korey Mykel Bogle. David and Donna were married for 31 years. David was a loving father and a wonderful husband but was also very strict.
David attended Ditmas Junior High School and George Westinghouse High School where he graduated with an advanced regents’ diploma in Electrical Engineering. In 1985 he joined the New York City Transit Team as a bus mechanic. He loved his job because he made the world a better place or helped to make someone else’s life better. He retired from New York City Transit in 2013 due to illness. David was a very happy person who loved playing dominos, music, traveling, attending barbecues, and hanging out at his friend’s mechanic shop. His favorite car was a BMW.
David accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his savior and continued to serve him faithfully. He was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church and was in charge of property and trustee members.
Sleep in peace my sweetheart until we meet again. I love you very much.
Missing you Always
You never said I’m leaving
You never said good-bye
You were gone before we knew it
And only God knows why.
In life we loved you dearly
In death we loved you still
In our heart we hold a place
That only you can fill.
It broke our heart to lose you
But you didn’t go alone.
A part of us went with you
The day God took you home.
