David Bernard Braun David Bernard Braun, of Ridgefield, died at Danbury Hospital on Sunday morning, September 9, 2012. Mr. Braun was born in Buffalo, New York on November 29, 1930, son of the late Clara and Bernard Braun. He attended Christian Brothers’ Academy, was graduated from the University of Buffalo, and was employed as a chemical engineer by the Union Carbide Corporation. Upon his retirement from Union Carbide after 35 years, he worked for RT Vanderbilt Corporation in Norwalk, CT for another 15 years. He acquired several chemical patents during his career and was considered an expert in the field of polymers. Mr. Braun and his wife, the late Lorraine Cleary Braun, lived in Ridgefield from 1972 until they retired to Harwich Port, MA on Cape Cod in 1996. In his retirement on Cape Cod, Mr.
