David B. Klingaman Esq.

Troy David B. Klingaman Esq., 64, of Locust Avenue, Troy, died Saturday, August 6, 2005.

Born in Albany, he was the son of the late Roger Klingaman and Olive (Lidstone) Klingaman and husband of Alicia Millard Klingaman.

He was a lifelong resident of the capital district and a graduate of Albany Academy for Boys, Bowdoin College and Albany Law School.

Mr. Klingaman, a well-known area attorney, was employed for 40 years in the New York State Court of Claims, most recently as Chief Clerk.

David was a member of many organizations and served on numerous community boards including: the Troy Lions Club, St. Anne Institute, Rensselaer County Historical Society, both the Rensselaer County and the New York State Bar Associations, the Country Club of Troy, the University Club in Albany, the former Troy Club, and the Bowdoin College Alumni Association. He was a lifelong member and a Trustee of the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Albany.

In addition to his wife Alicia, surivivors include two daughters, Sheila Wrede (Peter) of Delmar and Moira Rienzo (Thomas)of Troy; two sons, David L. Klingaman (Jessica) of Troy and John P. Klingaman of Wellington, CO; two sisters, Hilda M. Imhoff (Ernest) of Baltimore and Elizabeth Klingaman of Suffolk, England; eight grandchildren, Andrew, Thomas and Heidi Wrede, Hannah, Michael and David Rienzo and Kirsten and James Klingaman and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his beloved grandson, Jonathan Wrede.
