He was born on September 16, 1952 in Rensselaer, IN to Lois M. (Kingman) and Harry W. Alberts. David was a 1970 graduate of Remington High School and was an Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance Agent in DeMotte, IN since 1986. On August 10, 1974 he married Kathleen Claire Gilbert who survives. David was a member of DeMotte United Methodist Church, Sons of The American Legion Post #440, Past Master & member of Remington Lodge #351, F & AM. He was a past Girls Softball Coach and former assistant coach for KVHS Girls Softball. David was a father figure to many kids that he came in contact with. He was a loving husband, father and had many friends. He enjoyed camping, golfing, and cheering for the Colts and Chicago Cubs.
David is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Alberts, DeMotte, IN Children: Anastacia “Stacy” Crawford, Greenwood, IN; Brian (Samantha) Alberts, DeMotte, IN and Amanda Alberts, DeMotte, IN Mother, Lois M. Alberts, Remington, IN 3 Grandchildren, Brooklyne & Erica Crawford and Owen Fishel Nephews, Jeffery, Jason, Jon, & Justin Brother, Bob (Patricia) Alberts, Remington, IN Preceded in death by his father and brother, William.
