David Coates, 57, husband of Winnie Lavery Coates of West Haven died unexpectedly at home July 9, 2011. He was the father of Mandy (Michael) Lucibello, D.J. Coates and Patrick Coates and the son of Shirley Gell Coates. In addition, he leaves 2 grandchildren Sean and Morgan Lucibello, his sister Barbara (John) Hinckley, brother Thomas Coates, brothers-in-law Thomas Lavery, Joseph (Sharon) Lavery, Gene (Karen)Lavery, Brian (Andrea) Lavery and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Fredrick W. Coates Sr., brother Fredrick W. Coates Jr. and brother-in-law John Lavery. At the time of his death, David was employed at Jensen Industries. He loved to spend time with his family and many friends. He was a lifelong fan of both the Yankees and the Giants.
