David A. Volkers, 65, of Nampa, passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2018.
David was born on May 1, 1953 in Bloomfield, Nebraska to Ward and Georgia Lee (Boatright) Volkers. He attended Eden and Wendell Elementary School and graduated from Valley High School.
He married Linda (Shobe) Volkers in Jerome, Idaho on March 24, 1973. They lived in many different areas including Jerome, ID; Hazelton, ID; Halls, TN; Nankipoo, TN, and lastly in Nampa, ID. Together David and Linda had four children together, three daughters, Stephanie Volkers, Lisa (Volkers) Dodge, and Becky (Volkers) Lusk; and one son, Keith David Volkers.
David was a very hard working man, his job history includes: Farmer, D&B Construction worker, Truck Driver, and AGL Transload Facility Manager.
He was a member of the NRA (National Rifle Association), NAHC (North American Hunting Club), RMEF (Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation), and HCOA (Handyman Club of America).
David is survived by his wife, Linda, of 45 years; his daughters, Stephanie Volkers, Lisa Dodge, and Becky Lusk all of Nampa; son, Keith Volkers of Nampa; three brothers, Raymond Volkers of Nampa, Lee Volkers of Meridian, ID, and Jeff Volkers of Walla Walla, WA; three sisters, Roberta Charles of Craig, CO, Linda Volkers of Athens, GA, and Judy Stulberg of Lake Havasu City, AZ; he also leaves behind 12 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ward and Georgia Volkers; brother, John Volkers; niece, Tonya Volkers; and nephew Brian Volkers.
