David A. Smith III, 88 of Bayville section of Berkeley Township died on Wednesday October 2, 2013 at home. He was born in Philadelphia, PA he lived in Doylestown, PA then Florida before moving to Bayville, NJ. David served n the US Navy during WW II. He was a Police Officer with Philadelphia, PA for many years.
He then was an Insurance Adjuster with David A. Smith Adjusters, in Langhorne, PA. He was a participant in the Mummers Parade in Philadelphia, PA. He loved golfing and fishing on his boat “DamnedIfIKnow”. David is predeceased by his wife Theresa (McKearnan).
Surviving are his daughter Tia Smith and her husband John Dimitrion of Bayville, NJ, his step granddaughter Gianna Nichole Dimitrion, his brother Edward Smith and his wife Peg of South Philadelphia, PA, his sister Theresa Fletcher and her husband Kyran of Philadelphia, PA and also his nephew to whom he was close with Jack Smith and his wife Anna.
