David Allen Schnur, 62, of Elkville, passed away Thursday, November 22, 2018 at the VA Medical Center in Marion, Illinois.
He was born July 23, 1956 in Belleville, son of Lee Roy Schnur and Clara Mae(Carroll) Schnur. He married Mary Baseden on April 21, 2007 and she survives in Elkville.
In addition to his wife of 11 years, Mary Schnur of Elkville, he is also survived by his mother: Clara Mae Schnur of Elkville; two sons: Jason Schnur of Breese and Jacob Schnur of Centralia; two grandsons: Jaxon Schnur and Brendan Schnur both of Breese; two sisters: Cynthia Mae Coats and husband Tim of Irvington and Diane Schiming of Kentucky; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father.
David served in the U.S. Airforce. He worked as an over the road Truck Driver for many years. He was a member of the Congregation Adat Ariel in Marion, Illinois. He enjoyed camping and fishing. David had a strong passion for riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle. He was a riding member of the Storm Riders for 17 years and a Christian Rider for 11 years. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family, grandson’s, his four legged companion, Memphis and friends.
