David Allen Jenkins, 73, of Carlisle, Pa and formerly of Luray, Va, died Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at home in Carlisle.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years: Alechia J. (Hoovr) Jenkins.

David Allen Jenkins, 73, of Carlisle, Pa and formerly of Luray, Va, died Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at home in Carlisle.
Born December 29, 1940 in Sperryville, Va, he was a son of the late Aubrey R. and Ellen J. (Baker) Jenkins.
Mr. Jenkins was a retired truck driver, having worked for Smith’s Transfer and St. Johnsbury Trucking. He was U.S. Army Veteran.
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #1299, Carlisle, the VFW in Virginia and American Legion Post 101, Carlisle.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.
Surviving are his wife of 23 years: Alechia J. (Hoover) Jenkins of Carlisle; a daughter: Lisa Cook (and husband Bobby) and a son: David R. Jenkins, all of Luray, Va; three sisters: Ivy Carroll of Amosville, Va, Kathleen Lee of Flinthill, Va and Linda Dwyer of Sperryville, Va; a brother: Troy Jenkins of Luray, Va; two grandsons; two great grand daughters and one great grandson, all of Luray, Va; three step children; seven step grandchildren and one step great grandchild.
