METAMORA-David A. Holt, 80, of Metamora, IL, passed away Friday, April 9, 2021, at his residence.
Dave was born on November 26, 1940, in Peoria, the son of Esselman A and Ione (McKinney) Holt.
He is survived by two sons David A. Holt Jr. of Edwards, IL Timothy (Susan) Holt of Metamora, and one daughter Susan (Doug) Campbell of Custer, SD. Also surviving are three granddaughters Kelsey (Jeremy) Treece, Kristen Holt, and Lauren Holt, one sister, V. Ann Robinson of Peoria, along with two nieces, two nephews, and his four-legged partner Akita. His parents preceded him in death.
He was a 1958 graduate of Woodruff High School in Peoria. Dave served 27 years with the Peoria Police Department. After his retirement, he worked for five years at the Center For Prevention of Abuse.
