David A. Battista, 87, of North Haven passed away July 27, 2016 in Yale New Haven Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Rose Capobianco Battista for more than 60 years. Born in New Haven on April 27, 1929, he was the son of the late Antonio and Antoinette Gaudio Battista. He was in the retail shoe business most of his life, mainly in downtown New Haven. Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Anthony D. Battista of North Haven and two grandchildren, Haley Rose and Skye Marie Battista. He was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Battista and two sisters, Mary Geremia and Rose Sabia.
