Dave Kelly Ingram-Gray was unexpectedly called home to be with his Lord on July 11, 2020 at the age of 32.  He was born March 23, 1988 to Dave Gray and Dionne Ingram. Lil Dave or “Baby ICE” as he was so affectionately referred to, was the eldest of three children born from this union.

Lil Dave was born in Indianapolis, Indiana and attended the schools; Brookside #54, Joyce Kilmer #69, Forest Manor Middle School, and Broad Ripple High School. He enjoyed playing sports, advancing in Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC), writing music, and cooking even though half of the meals he created himself “Lol”.

Lil Dave’s early years were spent in the loving care of Mae Paulus, who adored her grandchildren. He loved his grandmother and thought of her as the apple of his eye. Lil Dave would jump off his Granny’s lap and into a fearless guitar-act with his Grandfather Maurice. When he wasn’t being spoiled by his grandparents, you could find him being a shadow to BigDave, his father. He would love to go to work with his grandfather, William H. Ingram. He was eager to gain hands- on experience in the carpentry trade from an early age. During that time of learning carpentry, he acquired a part time position at Menards Hardware store with the help of his auntie Debie.

Lil Dave had and unbreakable relationship with his parents. Big Dave was his Greatest Hero; from his dad he learned the importance of being a father and loving beyond the parameters of social expectation. Dionne was his Wonder Women, from his mother he learned his super-power strengths of determination, loyalty, and unconditional love. As the first-born son, Lil Dave was the absolute best of his mother and his father. Lil Dave’s greatest accomplishment was being a devoted father to his son Tayshawn.

Lil Dave had a wonderful personality and a giving heart. If he had it, he would give it to you. He was handsome and intelligent; he had a grandiose sense of humor. Lil Dave was loved by so many. He will be forever remembered for his mannerism, kind heart, and his spirit of family.

Lil Dave was sensitive and believed in family. He has always been truly loved and will be forever missed by his friends and family near and far. Lil Dave’s smile had the ability to brighten the darkest days. As we celebrate his life, remember his smile.

Lil Dave was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother the late Geraldine Cotton. He leaves to cherish: his loving motherDionne L. Ingram, father Dave K. Gray, son TayShawn Ingram-White brothers Anthony Lee, Zachary Gray, Devin Solomonsisters Daijah Beemon, Tajuana Parker, Shyla Wells, Ebony Parker, Seniyah Ingram and Sh’Diamond Ladd. GrandparentsWilliam Ingram Sr. (Colleen), Mae Paulus (Maurice) and Henry Phillip Ladd (Martha). Uncles William Ingram Jr, III (Marie)and Melvin Ladd Aunts LaTonya Ingram, Debie Gray, andMercedes Ingram; along with a host of other uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He will be deeply missed by all those that knew him, especially those 34th and Keystone who will forever have his heart.
