David (Dave) Wayne Dunning, husband, father, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, brother/son in law and friend of many, died unexpectedly on May 31, 2019 at the age of 47.
Dave is survived by his wife and best friend, Rose Dunning; his children and apples of his eyes, Marissa and Isaiah; his loving sister, Tina Justice; nephew and niece Tyler and Chelsea Justice (Korey Swain, Rilynn Justice Swain). Dave is the nephew of Rita and Larry Brown, Sandy and Bobby Carneyhan, Connie McCloud, Tommy and Shirley Tyler. He is also an In law to Margaret and Charles Stover, LaGuardia and Barboza/Alamin families. Dave is predeceased by his father and mother, Wallace and Fredia Dunning; and brother in law, Wade Justice.
Dave was born in Denver, Colorado on June 16, 1971 to Wallace and Fredia. He graduated from Westminster High School in 1989 and worked in the roofing industry for 30 years. Married Rose on April 1, 2000, who he would say is his world and best thing that ever happened to him.
Dave was a devoted family man, dedicated employee, softball player and avid sports fan. He enjoyed watching and going to Rockies, Broncos, Avalanche and Nuggets games and let’s not forget NASCAR. Dave was famous for always having a smile and bringing smiles to other people’s faces. He was a big kid, always showing whose boss by competing with his children, nieces and nephews. At the same time, he was the family’s protector making them feel safe and secure just by his presence and of course his big muscles. Muscles so big that to this day he has yet to lose an arm-wrestling match.
He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.
