Davaila was born on November 1, 1975 in Brooklyn, NY. His parents are mother, Elreta Irene Johnson (deceased) and father, Paul Andrew Kearse. He was raised by his grandparents, Mr. Leroy Kearse Sr. (deceased) and Mrs. Gerdine Kearse. He was raised in in Brooklyn New York where he found his love for basketball and music. He went to Thomas Jefferson High School in Brooklyn, New York and from there he went to Job Corp.

Davaila was a kind, gentle, and good hearted young man. There was never any malice in his heart. He was a great person!

He loved to eat, dance, laugh, shop, and travel. He has a passion for music. He loved music so much that he became a DJ. His DJ name was DJ Smokey.  He would DJ in New York City and New Jersey.

Davaila was a hardworking man. His most recent jobs were at the Honda Factory in Mebane, North Carolina and Lotus Bakeries also in Mebane, North Carolina.

Left to mourn his passing is his grandmother, Mrs. Gerdine Kearse; his father, Paul Andrew Kearse; his stepmother, Lisa Kearse; his younger brothers, Edgar Walbrook and Andrew Kearse; his younger sisters, Valerie Walbrook and Zaquanza Kearse; his nephews, Elijah Walbrook and Evan Harrington Jr; his niece, Nyla Walbrook; his uncles,Lee Stokes, Leroy Kearse Jr, and Richard Kearse; his aunts, Louise Blakely and Fallisie Kearse; and his godfather, James Edward Morris. Last but not Least, his childhood bestfriend, Kenyatta Chadwick; a host of great aunts/uncles and cousins.

Although, Davaila is no longer here with us in the flesh his memories will live on with those closest to him
