Daryl Naoumes Mecca, 37, currently residing in Los Angeles, California and a life long resident of Bristol, Connecticut passed away suddenly on March 18, 2009 while vacationing in Florida.
He will be dearly missed by his loving family; his parents Donald and Catherine (Zissopoulos) Mecca of Bristol Connecticut; his sister Cary and her husband Nick Rubbo; two nieces Dana and Zoe all of Harwinton. An Uncle and Aunt Custy and Melanie Zissopoulos; Uncles Frank and Peter Mecca and an Aunt Joanne Adams of Waterbury, CT and several cousins.
In 1990, Daryl graduated from Bristol Central High School and went on to graduate from Central Connecticut University with honors. He received both his Bachelors and Masters Degree in Psychology.
Daryl was an avid sports fan; he especially enjoyed watching and attending the games of his favorite teams, the New York Yankees, Boston Celtics and UCONN Basketball.
His real passion was tennis. Daryl enjoyed playing and teaching tennis. He was certified by The Professional Tennis Registry and the United States Professional Tennis Association.
After struggling with diabetes for 34 years, Daryl is finally at peace.
