Funeral Services for Daryl Dewayne Penton, age 67, of Silver Run Community, MS, who passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2021, will be held Saturday, November 27, 2021, at 12:00 pm at McDonald Funeral Home Chapel.Visitation will be Saturday, November 27, 2021 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at McDonald Funeral Home. Burial will be in Penton Private Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.Bro. James Reeves will officiate the service, assisted by Bro. Mike Stuart.A native of Carriere, MS, he retired from the 890th Engineering Battalion of the US Army, and was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. Daryl loved to fish and camp with his grand babies, and was an avid member of the Ham Radio Club. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.He was preceded in death by his parents, James “Bud” A. Penton and Virginia Lee Penton.Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Karen Allen Penton; his daughter, Rebecca (Scott) Neal; his step daughters, Rena Overall and Keri Daniels; his grandchildren, Chance and Chase Guilbeau, Andrew, Eli, Stormy, Dutch, and Samuel Neal, Kaydence and Lakyn Hayden; his sisters, Sharon (George) Hurst and Connie (Greg) Merrill; his brother, Reece (Donna) Penton; and several nieces and nephews.
