Mr. Darwin “Pat” Pelley, Jr., 82, of Sharpsburg passed away Thursday, May 5, 2016. He was born on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, 1934, in Waterloo, Iowa.
Pat served in the Army and the National Guard where he was a Chief Warrant Officer. After his active duty military service, he was a civil servant and was stationed in Germany, Hawaii, and Georgia and served tours in Vietnam, and South Korea along with many other temporary duty locations including Egypt, Sudan, and North Africa. He was a car lover and an avid traveler who enjoyed many cruises.
Survivors include wife, Nancy Walden; children, Elizabeth Tucker, Scott (Denise) Pelley, Kimberly (James Baysinger) Pelley, Shannon (Zaida) Pelley; grandchildren, Kyle McElroy, Andrea Moore, Tyler Tucker, Ashton Pelley, Drake Pelley, Kristi Lancaster, Daniel Hagler, Samantha Hagler, Gary Pelley; five great-grandchildren; and his beloved Yorkies, Madeline & Abigail.
