Darryl La Vann “Uncle Darryl” Horn, a native of Whatley and a resident of Adamsville, answered the Master’s call on Saturday, Jan 30, 2021. He was 58 years old.

He served in the United States Army  Reserve  including a tour in Kosovo, and receiving numerous service awards.

Darryl was born October 1, 1962. He was a member of the Whatley AOH Church of God and graduated with the Clarke County High School Class of 1980. 

Preceding him in death was his father, Millie C. Burroughs; adopted father, John Lee Horn; and devoted grandparents, Overseer Heary and Mother Eunice Rodgers; and brother Jefferey Lydell Horn.

Left to cherish his precious memories are his sons, Darris (Jasmine) Horn and Jeremy (Bianca) Horn; daughter, Kendra (Jerry) Jackson; his devoted mother, Annie Horn; fiancée, Melba Craig and sons, Dameian Craig and Devin Merriweather; his sisters, Pamela (Harold) Pippen, Stacey Snell, Monica Horn and Latasha (Mike) Burroughs; brothers, Elder Kenneth Horn Sr., Malcom (Lucinda) Horn, Eric (Veronica) Horn, Ronnie (Venita) Horn, David Jerome Rodgers, John and Kregg Horn; with four grandchildren and 21 nieces and nephews whom he cherished and loved dearly.
