Darrell “Murphy” Stout, 89, died peacefully at Parma Living Center on Friday, November 18, 2011.
Murphy was born October 19, 1922 in Lake Freemont, Minnesota. He was the son of Delbert and Rose Stout.
Murphy loved life and loved his wife & family. He had a unique sense of humor that was portrayed through his colorful language while telling his many stories. Whether Murphy was square dance calling, elk hunting, whittling walking sticks or King Salmon fishing on the Kenai River, he made many friends and was a stranger to no one.
He is survived by his wife of 66+ years, Lois; his sister, Margaret “Sis” David of Kalispell, Montana; two sons, Mike & wife, Sandie of Anchorage, Alaska and Casey & wife, Debbie also of Anchorage Alaska; twin daughters, Janet Cooney of Parma, Idaho and Janice & husband, Dave Aragon of Belen, New Mexico. Murphy is also survived by six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many extended family members.
The Stout family would like to thank the Parma Living Center staff for the wonderful care they have given Murphy for the last several years.
