Mr. Darrell Thomas “Tommy” Moore, age 69, of Lanett, AL, passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at EAMC Lanier Hospital in Valley.
Mr. Moore is survived by his longtime girlfriend, Jennifer Atkins; one daughter, Machelle (Jason) Hall of Lanett; one son, Mark Moore of Lanett; two grandsons, Drew (Hannah) Hall and Casey (Jessica) Hall, both of Valley; six sisters and brothers, Bertha Mae Bishop of Opelika, Dorothy Williams of Valley, Joe (Juanita) Harris of Lanett, Curtis (Jane) Moore of Lanett, Shirley (Hoyt) Owens of Lanett, and Jimmy (Betty) Moore of LaGrange, GA.
Mr. Moore was born on September 12, 1945 in Troup County, GA to the late James M. and Sarah Moore. He was a faithful member of Lanier Baptist Church. He was a Vietnam Veteran and an avid University of Alabama football fan.
