Darrell L. Stark, age 79 of Green Forest, AR went home to be with his Lord on Monday, August 13 2012. The son of Ollie Anderson Stark and Flora Ella (Jackson) Stark was born July 5, 1933 in Green Forest. He graduated from Green Forest High School in 1953. On September 5, 1974 he was united in marriage with Carolyn Smith. Together they worked the family farm and began growing chickens for Tysons over 30 years ago. Darrell also owned and operated Stark Brothers Water Well Drilling Company for a number of years. He and his brother Irvin soon became known through-out the area for their well drilling. He was a member of the Union Church, south of Green Forest where he served as a Deacon. Darrell was a loving, devoted husband, father and friend. He was an avid deer hunter and was never more at home than when he was outdoors-in the woods. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Stark of the home, son, Curtis Stark of the home, daughter, Anita and husband Ben Gasper of Green Forest, brother-in-law, Jerry and wife Kathy Smith of San Bernardino, CA, sister-in-laws: Norma Leonard and husband Max of Berryville and Gwynetta Stark of Little Rock, nephew, Truman Stark and wife Betty of Green Forest, nieces, Rosemary Sims of Green Forest, Ann Thompson and husband Ed of Harrison, Patty Chaoone and husband D.J. of Little Rock, Susan Nissel and husband Paul of Fort Smith, several great-nieces, nephews and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers: Truman Stark SR and Ollie Irvin Stark.
