The life and legacy of Darrell Koelling cannot be summarized into one body of thought, only containing words and punctuation. Darrell was a man that lived his life according to his own set of principles and moral code. All may not have liked Darrell, but all admired him, for they knew exactly where he stood and did not believe in any ambiguity.

Darrell was an individual that demanded hard work and respect, and from this, an individual could anticipate getting a soft smile and firm handshake as a token of appreciation. Darrell did not believe in idle hands, nor did Darrell believe individuals should forget their upbringing. Darrell will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, avid outdoorsman, an avid connoisseur of Town & Country groceries, and an emotionally hardened man who, beneath his rough exterior, had a heart of gold that would help anyone at any given time.

Darrell departed this world during one of the most chaotic and confusing times of history. Darrell only has one request for those that knew him. Darrell wants to be remembered as he was a man strong in principles and morals, and a man who allowed his hard work and dedication to his friends and family by the criteria he remembered.
