Darlow Darold was born in Walnut Grove, Minnesota on November 2, 1932 to William and Alice (Kemp) Fuchs. He was welcomed into a family by his six older brothers. He was raised on a farm and enjoyed life with his large family. Dar attended country school and graduated in 1951 from Laurens Consolidated School.  He joined the Navy in 1952.

On July 23, 1952 Darlow married his high school sweetheart, Donna Ryon. Of this union, 5 children, 4 sons and 1 daughter were born. They moved from coast to coast during his military time and settled in Colorado in 1978. After 5 years in the Navy he worked for the National Security Agency for a total of 32 years. He retired in 1983 for health reasons.

February 14, 2009 is the special day when he was baptized a Jehovah Witness at the age of 77.

He loved to travel and build grandfather clocks, decks and basements for friends, and worked on several Kingdom Halls. He always wished he had owned a ranch in Wyoming.

He was preceded in death by his parents and six brothers Donald, William, Robert, Russell, Cecil, James, and 2 sons Lyle (Lois Ann) and William.

He is survived by his wife Donna, son Kenneth (Janet) of Vero Beach, Florida and son David (Ana) of Denver Colorado; daughter Marnie (Ron) Martin of Aurora, Colorado and 5 grandchildren: Russell Martin, Aubrey (Tyler) Glaze; Lex (Madison) Martin, Juliette Martin and Daniel (Sarah) Fuchs and children Samuel and Kathryn of Townson, Maryland; Step grand-daughter Kendel (Devin) Hannon and children Jackson and Olivia of Pasadena, Maryland.
