Metzger (Barth) Darlene “Dar”
St. Paul, age 80.
Survived by husband, Stephen “Gus”; children, John (Becky), Mike “Tex” (Valeri), Susan, Jane (Tony), and Mary; and 11 grandchildren and 9 siblings. A devoted wife and mother of five, Darlene was a passionate cook and loved to entertain. Her joy was traveling and being with good friends. Darlene was a homemaker for 25 years. The following 25 years, she worked with her husband at Metzger Building Materials as a secretary. Darlene came from a family of 10 children and lived her entire life in the St. Paul area. The past 11 years, Darlene lived courageously with Alzheimer’s Disease and died at home peacefully surrounded by her family.
