Passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Select Specialty Hospital, Saginaw. She was 83 years old. Darlene was born on July 5, 1934 in Saginaw to the late David and Irene (Wilson) Zimmerman. She graduated from Saginaw High School in 1952. Darlene worked as a social worker for The Salvation Army, and then retired from St. Mary’s Hospital after 25 years of service. She was a faithful soldier of The Salvation Army Saginaw Corps all her adult life. Darlene loved to read and do jigsaw puzzles.
She is preceded in death by her sister, Laurene “Laurie” McLean; brothers: David and Kenneth Zimmerman.
