Darlene (Borst) Bailey, 67, of Vernon, formerly of Glastonbury, died Friday, August 5, 2016 at the Hospital for Special Care in New Britain after an extended illness .
She was born in Manchester on February 23, 1949, daughter of the late Walter H. and Dorothy E. (Pirzl) Borst. She was raised in Glastonbury, graduated from Glastonbury High School in 1967, and had been a resident of Vernon since the mid-1980’s. Darlene owned and operated the former Jager Haus Lounge in Vernon from 1992 until it’s closing in 2006.
She is survived by her son and daughter, Jason C. Bradley and his wife, Jessica, of Lebanon; Jessica C. Sevigny and her husband, Christopher, of Taftville, and her grandson, Caleb J. Bradley; two sisters and a brother, Dorothy Lynn Ralston of Manchester, Donna B. Juttner of Port Orange, FL, and Walter H. Borst Jr. and his wife, Ruth, of Coventry as well as many nieces and nephews. She also leaves a close friend and his family, James P. Sheehan. She was predeceased by a sister, Denise B. Naumec.
Darlene was a quiet, caring person, who was loved by everyone who knew her. She was an especially doting mother and grandmother, who did everything she could to support her children.
