On August 10th, 2021 Darlene Ann Howarth passed away; beloved mother to Amanda Sparwasser and her husband David; cherished grandmother to Gabriel Sparwasser; loving daughter to John and Margaret Howarth and cherished god mother to Alex Amos.
Darlene was direct, dedicated, and pioneering. She used these qualities daily throughout life, as a mother, as a grandmother, as a hairdresser and a loyal friend. She loved being a hairdresser even from her early years of styling the neighbors’ hair as a teen for fifty cents a head and continued finding joy in discovering just the right style for each person throughout her life. Darlene loved sharing words of encouragement with those God put in her path.
When someone wants to donate to the scholarship fund, they would simply make the check out to “St. Stephen” and write “Gabriel Sparwasser Scholarship” in the memo section of the check.
