WINSTED –LOVETERE – D’Arcy N. Lovetere, 81, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 after a courageous battle. She was the loving wife of John J. Lovetere for 45 wonderful years. Born October 31, 1941 in Winsted; the daughter of the late Earl and Althea (Doolittle) Scalley. D’Arcy graduated from Housatonic High School and worked as an Office Manager for many years for Dr. Gallo. She earned a Master’s degree from Central CT State University after having six children. She then worked for the State Judicial Marshall’s Office ranking Lieutenant. Her fierce independently strong spirit helped her achieve success as an Investigator in the Public Defender’s Office. She also was actively involved in the McCall Foundation as President of the Board of Directors for many years. D’Arcy was also the Treasurer at Community Kitchen of Torrington and a huge animal lover. Her guiding force is already deeply addition to her husband, she leaves her beloved two daughters and son, Lisa Cook and husband Thomas of Torrington, Gregg Monroe of New Hartford and Michael Monroe of Suffield; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and many friends. She was predeceased by three children, Steven Monroe, James Monroe and Jodi Monroe-Kaufman; and a grandson, Michael Centrella.
