Daphne Sue Meyer, age 49, of Mitchell, IN, formerly of Rensselaer, passed away on Monday, January 10, 2022, at Memorial Hospital in Jasper, IN.

Daphne was born in Rensselaer on April 8, 1972, the daughter of John Smith and Connie Lou Amsler Minix.

Daphne attended and graduated from Rensselaer Central High School with the Class of 1990 and went on to earn her EMT Certificate. Daphne was a CDL Driver Owner/Operator of CKC Transport and Daphne’s Bulldog Express in Rensselaer. She also spent time as an EMT at Hoosier EMS in Buffalo, IN.

Daphne enjoyed woodworking, being outdoors, camping and kayaking. Daphne also enjoyed remodeling and was an avid shopper. Daphne was known and loved by many for her big heart, infectious smile, and bubbly personality. Most dear to her was her family and she spent as much time with them as she could. They will miss her dearly.

Daphne is survived by her father, John (Juanita) Smith; children, Kolton (Cassey) Meyer of Dowagiac, MI and Casidee (Joseph Viera) Meyer of Rensselaer, IN; granddaughter, Amberley; siblings, Jodie (Rich) Marino of Las Vegas, NV and Lorie (Jarod) Barber of Rensselaer, IN; nieces and nephews, Enzo, Sebastian, Lola, Madeline, Emily, and Olivia; long-term boyfriend, Michael Berkshire of Mitchell, IN. She was preceded in death by her mother, Connie and son, Clinton Meyer.
