Danny was born November 13, 1962 in Deming to Frank and Floydean (Johns) Hicks. He graduated from Animas High School in 1981 and during his working career as a Heavy Equipment Operator he had been employed by Freeport MacMoran and Phelps Dodge. Danny has been a resident of Benson for 5 years having moved there from Animas. His family remembers him as a “Loving Papa” who enjoyed the outdoors hunting and fishing with his family.
He is survived by his wife Shawna Hicks of Willcox, AZ; mother Floydean Hicks of Morenci, AZ; son Coy Hicks of Little Rock, AK; daughters Brandi Hicks of Spokane, WA, Vanessa Hamilton of Willcox, AZ; and 6 grandchildren. Danny was preceded in death by 2 brothers Wesley and Jerry Hicks and by his father Frank Hicks.
Pallbearers will be Willie Babers, Justin Brown, Coy Hicks, Mathies Hicks, Dustin Hamilton and Tony Bushel.
