Danny Ray Kane, Sr., 72, of Woodhull, formerly of Bettendorf, IA, died Sunday, September 1, 2019, at home, surrounded by his family. Danny was born September 29, 1946, in Davenport, IA, the son of Leonard and Zella Marie (Woods) Kane.
He married Shireen O. Leddy on June 28, 1997, in Bishop Hill.
She survives Woodhull. Danny is also survived by two sons, Jeffrey (Jamie) Kane of Bettendorf, IA, and Danny (Sarah) Kane, Jr. of LeClaire, IA; one step-son, Justin Mooney of Galesburg; one step-daughter, Jaeleen (tom) Peck of Galesburg; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Danny is also survived by one brother, Marvin Kane, Sr., of Bettendorf, IA; and two sisters, Sue Swanson of Davenport, IA, and Connie (Charlie) Fleetwood of Bettendorf, IA.
Along with his parents, Danny was preceded in death by one step-daughter, Jama Mooney, and two brothers, Larry, and Bill Kane. Danny worked as a truck driver for many years, last working for Borkgren Farms Trucking, retiring in February 2019. Danny enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed antiques, was a cat lover, and always loved a good bargain.
