Danny M. DeBarr Age 66 of Durand passed away Friday, August 17, 2018 at McLaren-Flint.Funeral services will be held 11am, Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at Nelson-House Funeral Homes, Owosso Chapel with Pastor LaDonna Stewart officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 4pm to 8pm.Danny was born July 14, 1952 in Owosso, the son of Kenneth and Virginia (Richter) DeBarr.He graduated from Durand High School, class of 1971 and was a member of Cornerstone Church of God for the past 27 years.Danny was an outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, camping and riding bikes. Most of all he loved to cook for his family and friends.He married Edie Whitehead at Cornerstone Church of God on June 8, 1991.Danny retired from General Motors Fisher Body after 23 years of service.Danny is survived by his wife Edie; sons Danny (Stephanie) DeBarr Jr., Michael (Shayla) DeBarr and Chris (Michelle) DeBarr; 9 grandchildren; sisters Lela Whitehead and Mary Lee Novek; brothers Floyd and Kenny DeBarr and many other loving family members and friends.He was predeceased by his parents and sisters Sue Thomas and Janet DeBarr.Memorial contributions are suggested to the family.
