Danny R. Harris was born on July 26, 1957 and was the only son to Barbara B. Stewart and his father, Willie C. Stewart, who Danny called “Pops.” Both parents preceded him in death.
“Luke,” as Danny was affectionately known since his teen years, received his education at IPS #42 and Crispus Attucks high school. He obtained his HVAC license and certification from Ivy Tech Indianapolis. He worked for IPS for nearly 42 years, where he was Supervisor of Maintenance.
Thirty-five years ago, Danny met the love of his life, Ms. Deborah Mays. To this union, he was blessed with three children.
Danny professed his hope in Christ at an early age at Mt.

Jesus is The Promise Keeper and He came to receive Danny on Monday, September 2, 2019; He departed this life at 62 years, 1 month and 1 week.

Danny leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Deborah Harris; three children: Tawana Wilkerson, Robert and Destiny Mays; three grandchildren: Jazmine Mays, Disney Mickens and Aysia Phinisee; five sisters: Jeanette Grays, Bernice, Tonya, Teresa, and Sheila Stewart; and a host of other family and friends.
