Danielle Jean “Dejai” Leipold, 40, of Ottawa, died on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at her home. Danielle was born on March 19, 1976 in Ottawa to Richard and Debbie (Brewer) Leipold.
She was a member of Christ Community Church in Ottawa. Dejai enjoyed cooking, laughing, dancing, and crafting. She also enjoyed company from many friends. Dejai loved family time, especially time spent with her daughter, Darbi. She was the life of the “concert.” Her love for the Grateful Dead will always be remembered. Danielle is survived by a daughter, Darbi Leipold, of Ottawa, her mother, Debbie Valdez, of Ottawa, step mother, Sue Leipold, of Ottawa, her paternal grandmother, Bonnie Leipold, of Ottawa, 2 sisters, Cassi Jo Valdez, of Ottawa and Bobbi Jo (Pete) Mayszak, of Ottawa, and 2 brothers Christopher Leipold, of Ottawa and Richard “Riki” Leipold of San Francisco. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Harold and Charlotte Brewer, her paternal grandfather, Donald Leipold, and her father, Richard.
