Daniel (Danny, Dan) was born at his Grandma Robuck’s house in the Fargo Community near Wilder, ID. He was the second of seven children born to Joseph Milton and Dorothy Arlene (Robuck) DuBose. Dan was raised in Caldwell and attended Caldwell schools. He moved to Middleton, ID where he raised his three boys, Danny, Toben (Toby), and Timmy. Dan then returned to Caldwell, and in 1987 he married Linda Cox. They made their home in Caldwell where he and Linda raised two daughters Sarah and Sharla.
Dan loved to hunt, fish, and go camping, particularly at Horsethief and Sage Hen Reservoirs. Dan enjoyed the Oregon Coast, especially the areas around Coos Bay and Bandon, and took several trips driving the coastline from Astoria, OR to Crescent City, CA.
He loved watching hummingbirds, and planted trumpet vines in the hope of attracting more of them.
A hardworking man all his life, Dan spent many years in industrial and residential construction, restoration, and repairs. He was an excellent carpenter and was finally able to build his dream – a shop big enough to hold all his stuff! His work with restoration and property management companies led him to his last job as maintenance supervisor for Tomlinson and Associates at Sandlewood Apartments in Caldwell where he retired in June 2016.
Dan died peacefully at home as was his wish. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Linda; three sons and two daughters; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four brothers and a sister, and many nieces and nephews.
