Daniel Richard Schoger, 84, Anderson, died January 20, 2004 at Community Hospital, Anderson after an extended illness following a stroke.
He was born June 5, 1919 in Anderson, Indiana, and was a resident of this area for most of his life. He was a Certified Public Accountant and was a C.P.A. in Los Angeles, California. He was also owner and operator of Schoger Carpets. He was a 1937 graduate of Anderson High School and graduated from Indiana University with honors in 1941.
He was a longtime member of First Church of the Nazarene in Anderson. He is survived by his daughters, Brenda & husband Ralph Hellmann of Texas and Marylou Schoger-Deniston & husband Roy of California; son, Daniel M. & wife Debbie Schoger of Markleville; sister, Hilda Humphrey; brother, Robert Schoger; eight grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded by his parents, Matthias & Margaret Epp Schoger; two children, Barbara Schoger and Joyce Schoger; two brothers, Matthias Schoger and Harry Schoger and long time friend, Evelyn Hardwick.
