Graveside Services for Daniel Leo Leonard, Sr., age 83, of Picayune, MS, who passed away Saturday, December 25, 2021, will be held Friday, January 7, 2022 at 11:00 am at OLPH Cemetery, Belle Chasse, LA.Entombment will be in OLPH Cemetery, Belle Chasse, LA.Arrangements are under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home, Picayune, MS. A native of Belle Chasse, LA, he proudly entered the United States Army on December 12, 1958 and was honorably discharged on June 5, 1963. He was a shift supervisor for Chevron Chemical. Dan served in the American Legion for 28 continuous years. He was Vice Commander from 2006 to 2007, and Commander from 2010 to 2011.He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Leonard and Marie Hebert Leonard; his wife, Josie Leonard; his brothers, Robert J. Leonard and Earl M. Leonard; and his sisters, Dorothy Leonard Arendt and Linda Leonard Ohler.Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Daniel L. (Ange) Leonard, Jr., and Donald (Laura) Leonard; his grandchildren, Donny Leonard, Kody (Sonya) Leonard, Jake (Brooke) Leonard, Kory (Joyce) Leonard, Kelsey Leonard, and Kacie Leonard; his great grandchildren, Dallas Leonard, Ellie Leonard, Emma Leonard, Gracie Leonard, Myka Leonard, and Sophie Leonard; his sister, Rose Mayard; and numerous nieces and nephews.
