Daniel Lee Kibler, 68, passed away on April 26, 2015, after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his devoted wife Kathy Kibler, Mother in Law, Marie Hayes, precious puppy Bella (Daddy’s girl), daughter Dee McCarthy, husband Kevin, grandchildren Maddie, Sadie, and Mia, step son Preston Moody and his wife Shelly Moody, brother Dale Kibler and his wife Rosemary, nephew Drew.
Following graduation from Kent State University, Dan spent a short time as a teacher. Dan then moved to the District, where he became well known in the restaurant industry. He was the owner of Casey’s restaurant in Georgetown, and before that served a loyal following as a Capitol Hill bartender, (at places including the Hawk n’ Dove and Duddington’s).
