Daniel Kent Bangert, 22, of Bluffs, died Wednesday, May 18, 2016, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.
He was born June 24, 1993, in Jacksonville, the son of Christina West Marshall and Darren Kent Bangert.
He is survived by his parents, Christina and Frank Marshall of Jacksonville, and Darren Bangert of Meredosia; brother Charles “Chuck” (Tiffany) Mitchell of Jacksonville; sister Katie (Erik) Matth of Milan, MI; one niece and two nephews, December, Chuck Jr. “Bug”, and Robert “Rooster” Mitchell; maternal grandparents, Bill and Kathy West of Jacksonville; paternal grandmother, Martha Bangert of Missouri; and maternal great-grandmother, Marie Thatcher. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Gary Bangert.
Danny was a 2011 graduate of Triopia High School. He then attended Midwest Technical Institute in Springfield, earning his certification as a welder. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and fishing, and stock car racing. He especially enjoyed having fun with his friends and family.
