Daniel Joseph Staebler, age 86, of Temple. Mr. Staebler died Thursday at his home. He was born January 29, 1924 in Haverhill, Iowa to John and Mary (Holdgrafer) Staebler. He served in the United States Air Force for 26 years. Following that he worked for the University of Illinois.
He moved to Temple 8 years ago and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He married Shirley A. Kelly April 24, 1954 in Loves Park, Illinois. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Staebler of Temple; one son, Daniel D. Staebler of Temple; one daughter, Debra A. Kotzian of Temple; one brother, David H. Staebler of Rantoul, Illinois and 4 grandchildren; Kelly Sturdivant, Kassy Kotzian, Kaleb Kotzian, and Kolin Kotzian.
