Daniel J. DeLaGrange, 63, of Huntington, IN, passed away at 3:24 p.m. on Thursday, December 31, 2020, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, IN.
Dan was born on July 19, 1957 in Fort Wayne, IN, to Terry Lee and Mary J. (Garrison) DeLaGrange. His father preceded him in death on April 2, 1999. His mother survives.
He was married to Dorothy (Shockome) DeLaGrange on April 15, 1978. She survives and resides in Huntington, IN.
Dan was a graduate of Huntington Catholic High School. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Fort Wayne, IN. Dan was also a member of Knights of Columbus 3rd degree. He worked at Bircraft for 25 years and then became the Lay Pastoral Minister at St. Mary Catholic Church for over 25 years. He taught CCD, Adult Formation classes and 8th grade religious education at Huntington Catholic School. Dan enjoyed bringing his faith to the kids and adults through his deep love of teaching. He was the Right to Life Treasurer for several years and continued to volunteer with Right to Life.
Along with his mother and wife, Dan is survived by three sons, Nathan (Madison) DeLaGrange, Greenfield, IN, Adam (Heather) DeLaGrange, Huntington, IN and Jacob (Taylor) DeLaGrange, Huntington, IN; one daughter, Danielle (Kelli) DeLaGrange, Huntington, IN; sixteen grandchildren and one great grandchild; four brothers, David (Paula) DeLaGrange, Huntington, IN, Mark (Candy) DeLaGrange, Huntington, IN, Michael (Candy) DeLaGrange, Huntington, IN, and Brian DeLaGrange, Huntington, IN.
He is preceded in death by one daughter, Tracy Buzzard and one sister, Katherine DeLaGrange.
