Daniel John Burnett, age 44, resident of Milford, passed away suddenly on Thursday, February 5, 2015 in Milford. Born on April 30, 1970 in Bridgeport, he earned his CDL and worked for several local and long distance trucking companies. Dan was a talented woodworker and enjoyed camping, sailing and fishing. He was blessed with a creative mind. Once, while watching TV, a commercial came on depicting a young man talking to his father on the phone from Australia. He said, “You don’t have to talk so loud, Dad. I’m only half-way around the world.” Danny responded thoughtfully, “That’s as far away as you can get.”

He is survived by his mother, Barbara Leonard Burnett, his brothers and their wives, Walter and Patricia, Michael and Cynthia, and David and Christina; his sisters and their husbands, Linda and Michael Byczko, and Mary and Steven Bruzik, eleven nephews, two nieces, two grandnieces, many aunts, uncles and cousins, and a multitude of friends, especially lifelong friends: Bob Lohrenz, Debbie Russo and Sue Jennings and her family. The family would like to express their gratitude to Pattie Dillon and Paula Maher for standing by Dan through many illnesses. Dan was predeceased by his father, Walter Allen Burnett, nephew Efrain Morales, paternal grandparents Walter and Elizabeth Burnett and maternal grandparents, Edward and Mary Leonard.
