Daniel Frederic McDonald, 75, of Cahokia Heights, IL, formerly of O’Fallon. IL, born December 13, 1946, in St. Louis, MO, passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Highland, IL. Daniel proudly served and was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was a hard worker, used to bowl frequently, and was an avid walker around Central Park where he lived in New York City for 47 years.
Although in New York during that time, Daniel enjoyed following St. Louis sports such as the St. Louis Cardinals football and baseball and St. Louis Blues. Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, James and Marguerite McDonald (nee Sherwood); one brother, James Joseph McDonald; and one sister, Mary Claire Myers. Daniel is survived by one sister, Nancy (Richard) Tignor of Virginia Beach; two brothers, Michael Stanley (Pat) McDonald of Millstadt, IL, and John McDonald of Cahokia Heights, IL; and many nieces and nephews.
